Hi Winston - I wanted to follow-up with you after my bike fitting in your shop 2 weeks ago. All I can say is a BIG THANK YOU!!!! I now have a renewed love for my "half" bike (as you know, all the love really goes to the tandem!!). I no longer have shoulder and neck pain (typically felt within the first 10km of a ride), my hands are not sore from the constant pressure and I seem to be able to give more power to the pedals (I have actually seen an improvement in my average speed!). The adjustments made to the cleats on my shoes certainly work perfectly on the tandem as well. I did not imagine that it would have been as simple as new handle bars and stem, seat and cleat adjustments. So much for my mental list of reasons to justify a new bike purchase - you have given life to my older, previously ill-fitting, but now-perfectly fine half bike!!!

Your attention to detail, your excellent knowledge of bike/fit performance and of course, the excellent service, makes Cycle Cambridge #1 in my mind. You will be highly recommended at every opportunity!!

Here's to your continued success!!

Regards,

Now place the cleat based on the following chart.
Size 36-40 5mm behind the ball of the foot
Size 41-43 7mm behind the ball of the foot
Size 44-46 9mm behind the ball of the foot
above Size 46 10 mm behind the ball of the foot

Do you mean to place the middle of the cleat (usually marked with a line on the cleat) 7mm behind the ball of the foot?

I was just talking to someone at the Y today, his name is Allan. He was telling me about a meeting that is coming up next Thursday in regards to the cycle club. Is this true? and if so when and where?
